I’d like to share a World Health Organization (WHO) glossary I stumbled across a while back when I was translating an article on infertility. The International Committee for Monitoring Assisted Reproductive Technology (ICMART) and the WHO compiled this Revised Glossary on Assisted Reproductive Technology in 2009, and since then it has been translated into Dutch, Russian and Spanish.
Alignment
The Dutch and Russian glossaries are bilingual PDF files, but the Spanish translation has been published as a monolingual resource. The localised alphabetical order makes automatic alignment impossible, and so here is the English-Spanish version, aligned by hand. Before converting the glossary into a termbase (Excel>Glossary Converter>SDLTB) I separated out the abbreviations and synonyms to get better leverage, but in the table below I’ve left the entries as they appear in their original format.*
